Big Horn County search and rescue is divided into three squads. North squad based out of Lovell, South squad based out of Basin, High angle rope rescue squad which is made up of members of both squads, fire department and law enforcement personnel. Search and Rescue is available 24/7 and responds to all to kinds of emergencies, both man made and natural. Search and rescue has personnel trained in medical emergencies, water emergencies, snow emergencies, atv’s, caves, climbing, and lost people.
